Is Wendy's new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty worth the hype? We had mixed reviews

Wendy's is taking customers on a trip down memory lane with its latest Frosty.

The fast food chain recently released a new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty on March 19, inspired by the classic childhood popsicle. The new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty replaces the classic vanilla Frosty for a limited time.

The seasonal treat combines sweet orange notes with the smooth vanilla Frosty flavor to form a "dreamy orange cream experience," per USA TODAY.

Wendy's spring Frosty is part of the chain's latest trend of releasing seasonal ice cream treats. It previously released the Strawberry Frosty for the summer, Pumpkin Spice Frosty for the fall and Peppermint Frosty for winter.

As always, The Enquirer set out to try the trending treat to see if it's worth the hype.

While our last of four taste-testers loved it, giving it a 4/5, the other three had mixed reviews. Trending news editor David Wysong found the orange flavors to be a bit underwhelming. Despite trying the Frosty three times, Wysong concluded he expected more from the Columbus-based chain.

However, trending news reporter Grace Tucker didn't know what to think of the Frosty, initially comparing the flavor to medicine. But after some consideration, Tucker amended her statement.

"It's actually pretty good after a few bites," she said.

Overall, the Frosty received an average 3.3/5 rating from all of us.
