Wendy's celebrates National Hamburger Day with 1-cent Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger deal

While there is a national holiday for plenty of foods, the iconic hamburger is celebrated each year on May 28.

This year, National Hamburger Day falls on Tuesday, the day after the Memorial Day holiday, when plenty of burgers will likely get tossed on the grill.

Nationwide burger chain Wendy's is celebrating its burgers on that day and for six days afterward. Starting Tuesday and through June 2, Wendy's is offering its Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger (JBC) for just a penny. There is, of course, a catch to the deal.

To get a JBC for 1 cent, available at participating locations, you need to make another purchase of anything on the menu, according to Wendy's. You also need to have the Wendy's app and look for the digital offer.

Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, according to its website, features a hamburger patty, tomato, American cheese slice, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, and mayonnaise.
