Wendy’s serves a tasty breakfast, and it has all the usual offerings—breakfast sandwiches on croissants, biscuits, and burger buns, plus coffee and sides like potatoes. The sandwiches are similar to the ones that McDonald’s and Burger King traditionally offer in the morning hours.

But earlier this year, Wendy’s introduced a new breakfast menu item, one with more of a Taco Bell vibe than a burger chain vibe. Wendy’s Breakfast Burrito has two eggs, six strips of bacon, breakfast potatoes, two slices of American cheese, plus Swiss cheese sauce, all rolled into a tortilla. Cholula hot sauce packets come on the side for those who want to spice it up.

The sandwich did well, and fans wanted more, so the restaurant just added a second breakfast burrito to its lineup, and it’s now in select regions across the U.S.

Sausage lovers can rejoice. Wendy’s new breakfast burrito swaps out the bacon for sausage, but the rest remains the same. The new version has a grilled sausage patty, fresh cracked eggs, seasoned breakfast potatoes, American cheese, and Swiss cheese sauce, plus the Cholula hot sauce packets to add for some heat.

Both the bacon and sausage burritos sound as if they’ll keep you full until at least lunchtime, but if you want something a little less filling, Wendy’s also has a new breakfast deal that’s lighter on your stomach and your wallet.

Now on menus at participating Wendy’s, customers can get a small Seasoned Breakfast Potatoes (potato wedges that our taste tester says are “seasoned well and evenly, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside) and a choice of either a Bacon, Egg & Cheese English Muffin or a Sausage, Egg & Cheese English Muffin.

That’s about half of what you’d pay for the potatoes and the sandwich if ordered separately, and it’s one of the best fast food deals we’ve seen in a while.
