The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival will present “The Tempest” for its 31st season of free outdoor theater in the park starting next week.

Featuring a shipwreck, romance and magic, “The Tempest” will run nightly except Mondays June 13-July 2 at Southmoreland Park near The Nelson-Atkins Museum. Sidonie Garrett, executive artistic director of the festival, will direct.
