What's in the forecast for Veterans Day weekend?

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a weak cold front will move into the area Friday afternoon.

Highs on Friday will be mainly in the 55- to 60-degree range. This, combined with winds in the 10-to 20-mph range, could lead to increased outdoor fire danger Friday afternoon, according to a hazardous weather outlook.

Dry but seasonably cool temperatures are expected Friday night into Saturday. Lows on Friday night will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s, and highs on Saturday will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Dry weather will persist through the weekend into the beginning of next week. Low precipitation chances are slated to return on Thursday.
