What does Farmers’ Almanac say?
According to the Almanac’s long-range forecast for the southeast regions (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia), there will be “localized thunderstorms,” with “warm, humid” weather from Friday, May 24, to Memorial Day.
Bummer. But the Farmers’ Almanac claims about 80% accuracy, so let’s see what the other experts say:
What does the National Weather Service forecast?
In the National Weather Service (NWS) long-range forecast for May 23-29, Georgia is predicted to have above average temperatures.
The NWS is also predicting near normal to slightly above average rain during Memorial Day weekend dates as well.
What does Accuweather predict?
Accuweather’s daily outlook for Memorial Day weekend isn’t looking too far off from other predictions. Let’s take a look:
Saturday, May 25: humid with sun and clouds; a strong afternoon thunderstorm is possible
Sunday, May 26: afternoon thunderstorms
Monday, May 27: a strong thunderstorm in the morning followed by a couple of thunderstorms in the afternoon
Saturday, May 25: partly sunny and humid; a strong thunderstorm possible in the afternoon
Sunday, May 26: cloudy and humid; showers in the morning and a thunderstorm in the afternoon
Monday, May 27: mostly cloudy with thunderstorms
