Way-too-early look at 2025 NFL mock drafts: Could Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter go 1-2?

The 2024 NFL Draft concluded on Saturday in Detroit with Alabama's Jaylen Key rounding out the draft as Mr. Irrelevant.

Even with the three-day seven-round draft barely in the record books, fans and pundits are already looking forward to the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin. USC quarterback Caleb Williams was long presumed to be the No. 1 overall pick in this past draft, but LSU's Jayden Daniels worked himself up the boards with a Heisman Trophy season.

Early on in the 2025 class, there is not a clear No. 1 option that has emerged just yet. But Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Colorado defensive back/wide receiver Travis Hunter and Georgia quarterback Carson Beck are the early favorites. There is a strong possibility Sanders and Hunter go one-two, something which would propel Colorado head coach Deion Sanders to potentially higher aspirations.

With the 2024 NFL Draft now officially in the books, here are some of the more prominent media figures associated with the draft and how they see the 2025 NFL Draft playing out:

Hunter, Sanders and Beck are all projected as top 10 picks again. Florida State defensive end Patrick Payton works himself into the top 10 in this mock. Considering the Seminoles have had three DEs drafted in the first round in four years, that's one to keep in mind.

  • 2. LSU OT Will Campbell to LSU

  • 3. Missouri WR Luther Burden III to Denver Broncos

247 Sports

Count 247 Sports as one of the few bold mocks without a quarterback No. 1. Instead, Tennessee edge James Pearce, who appears to be a unanimous top-10 pick early on, is selected first overall. Georgia's Travon Walker was the last non-QB No. 1 selection during the 2022 NFL Draft.

  • 1. Tennessee Edge James Pearce to Carolina Panthers
