MAKERS highlight: Diane von Furstenberg on designing for the liberated woman
Diane von Furstenberg isn't just the incredible designer that brought us the jersey wrap dress (and countless other covetable designs), she's also a groundbreaker. When she came to America at the age of 22, she decided she wanted a career of her own, and fashion was where she would make her mark.
"I never knew what I wanted to do, but I knew the kind of woman I wanted to be," she told the MAKERS team. In creating her garments with gorgeously feminine silhouettes, she became the designer of the fashionable, liberated woman.
Diane von Furstenberg wants us to enjoy being women, and we can't think of an easier way to do so than by wearing one of her incredible dresses.
