Watch Whoopi Goldberg's Intense Reaction to Joy Behar's Unusual On-Air Outfit
Joy Behar enjoys surprising Whoopi Goldberg with her evolving sense of fashion.
The longtime TV personality recently astounded her fellow The View co-hosts (including Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin) when she walked out on stage with a slight change to her usual all-black on-air attire. While Joy may have been sticking to her go-t0 dark color palette, Whoopi had quite the reaction upon realizing the type of pants she was wearing.
"Welcome to The View y'all, welcome to The View!" Whoopi addressed the audience. "Before I do anything, I need Joy to stand up so everybody can see that she's in these fantastic jeans. Come on, Joy!"
Not wanting to be roped into Whoopi's antics, Joy tried to get out of modeling by telling her, "Come on, Whoopi!" But the Sister Act actress didn't give up so quickly. Instead, she pushed her co-star to give folks a head-to-toe view of her latest fashion switch-up. "You look amazing. People went crazy backstage. I want everybody to see the Joy that you are," Whoopi said.
Unsurprisingly, she wasn't the only one who got excited seeing her wear something dramatically different at the table. When a clip of Joy showing off the jeans hit the internet, The View fans immediately took notice.
"Joy looks good and she's got a good costuming team for her there at The View. They did a great job, she looks great!" one fan wrote on YouTube. "I see Joy's on her glow-up campaign for [season 26]," another viewer noted. "Joy looks amazing, she’s such a legend," a different fan added.
So, why did Whoopi have such a visceral reaction to Joy wearing a pair of jeans? According to the veteran TV host, they're not usually a part of her outfit rotation because she feels uncomfortable wearing them.
"She doesn't do this often," Whoopi clarified on the show. "She doesn't put jeans on very often, so people lost their minds backstage. People were taking pictures with her. It was crazy."
It looks like we can now add Joy to our ongoing list of celebrities making fashion statements!
