What to Watch Sunday: ‘Dateline’ starts new Sunday run, Obama doc series concludes

Here’s what’s on TV tonight.

Dateline: The Window (9 p.m., NBC)

“Dateline” begins a series of Sunday broadcasts of new episodes, starting with the story of Johanna “Hanna” Hove-Becker, a Florida woman who fell to her death from a penthouse apartment in Mons, Belgium, in 2015.

Dennis Murphy talks to Hanna’s father, John Hove, who was determined to get answers about what happened to his daughter. Hanna had been living in Belgium with her husband, who was serving at a NATO commands.

Murphy also interviews police inspector Claude Cloosen, chief inspector Arthur Scorry, attorney David Sheldon, and others.

Obama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union (9 p.m., CNN)

Part 3 of this three-part series about President Barack Obama airs tonight.

The series examines Obama’s personal and political journey to becoming the 44th president of the United States. It weaves together conversations with colleagues, friends and critics, and interspersed with Obama’s own speeches and news interviews. It begins with Obama’s childhood and takes us through his perspective as the son of a white mother from Kansas and an African father, his spiritual formation by a generation of Black leaders, and his hopes for a more inclusive America.

The first two parts aired last night on CNN. This is also available to stream on HBO Max.

Blacklist (10 p.m., NBC)

The 10th (and final) season premiere of “Blacklist” picks up six months after Wujing’s escape from custody, with Reddington (James Spader) mysteriously resurfacing in Manhattan amidst an explosion. When a former blacklister is found at the scene, the task force begins to investigate a larger conspiracy at play.
