No. 18 North Carolina will play for the ACC championship next weekend. N.C. State is on its way to a bowl game.

Before that, the two rivals close the regular season with their annual grudge match.

The Tar Heels (9-2, 6-1 ACC) and Wolfpack (7-4, 3-4) are both scuffling as the postseason beckons. N.C. State has lost two in a row while UNC saw its six-game winning streak snapped with Georgia Tech pulled a 21-17 upset last Saturday in Chapel Hill.

A national television audience on ABC will give UNC quarterback Drake Maye a chance to boost his Heisman Trophy candidacy after the loss to Georgia Tech hurt his case. Maye leads the ACC in passing yards (3,614) and has thrown 34 touchdown passes and just four interceptions.

N.C. State is at the opposite end of the quarterback spectrum. Preseason ACC player of the year Devin Leary suffered a season-ending injury in October. Freshman MJ Morris led the Wolfpack to a wins over Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, but was injured during a 21-20 loss to Boston College on Nov. 12. Morris didn’t play in last Saturday’s 25-10 loss at Louisville.

Ben Finley and Jack Chambers are possible starters for the Wolfpack if Morris can’t go against UNC.
