What to Watch Saturday: CNN re-airs Murdaugh documentary series from HBO

Here’s what’s on TV tonight.

Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty (8 p.m., CNN)

CNN re-airs the HBO Max streaming documentary series about Alex Murdaugh, found guilty last week of murdering his wife Maggie and son Paul in South Carolina in 2021. CNN first aired the series back in February, and it originally premiered on HBO Max in November 2022. All three episodes air tonight.

From CNN: “’Low Country’examines the legacy of the Murdaugh family, whose decades of powerful influence over the legal system in the South Carolina low country unravel amid accusations of fraud, deception, and murder. Hailing from a long line of powerful legal figures, Alex Murdaugh along with his wife, Maggie, and sons, Buster and Paul, enjoyed unparalleled sway over authorities, until Paul’s involvement in a tragic boating accident thrust a level of scrutiny on the family’s actions and legacy, revealing a bizarre and deadly chain of events.”

In this movie, a young woman adopted by her aunt turns to her faith when she finds herself imprisoned in a house of horrors with no human contact.

Game of Love (8 p.m., Hallmark)

Audrey, a creative board game designer, and Matthew, a research-driven marketing consultant, are given just weeks to create a new game to help players find romance.

48 HOURS: What Angelina Saw (10 p.m., CBC)

Angelina Fernandes and her mother, Stephanie, speak publicly for the first time about the death of Andrew Wagner on May 7, 2014. When Angelina Fernandes was just 11 years old she woke up and saw neighbors trying to save Wagner, her mother’s fiance, who died from a knife wound to his neck. Stephanie Fernandes was charged with murder

Peter Van Sant interviews both women, who describe their complicated relationships with Wagner and the distress of that night.
