How to watch Penn State wrestling in 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials: TV streaming, tickets

Penn State wrestling will be the epicenter of the sport this weekend in America.

The university that just won its 11th national wrestling title in 13 years is hosting the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

More than 200 wrestlers in men's and women's freestyle and men's Greco-Roman will compete to earn spots on the U.S. team at this summer's games in Paris, France.

There will be 17 freestyle wrestlers across six weight classes with strong ties to Penn State — the program that recently won the NCAA Championships in record fashion. That includes former NCAA champion and reigning Olympic gold medalist David Taylor at 86 kilograms.

When are the 2024 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials at Penn State?

  • Friday, April 19: Challenge Tournament preliminaries, quarterfinals and consolations, 10 a.m.; Challenge Tournament semifinals and finals, 6:30 p.m.

  • Saturday: Championship Series (rounds 1 and 2) and Challenge Tournament consolations and third-place matches, 10 a.m.; Championship Series (rounds 2 and 3); 6:30 p.m.

All four Friday and Saturday sessions will be held at Penn State's Bryce Jordan Center. Ticket information for single or all sessions can be found here. Doors open each day at 8:30 a.m.

What channel can I watch the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials?

TV: USA Network, Friday (6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) and Saturday (6:30 to 10 p.m.); NBC’s streaming platform Peacock will cover the early sessions each day (10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.)

What's to do at Penn State between Olympic Trials sessions?

Wrestling fans can attend a free "Fan Fest" both days at the Pegula Ice Arena, across the street from the Bryce Jordan Center.

Activities, which run from about 2 to 6 p.m., include dozens of wrestling exhibits (college wrestling apparel, merchandise, memorabilia and training equipment), food and drink options. Autograph sessions include Penn State three-time NCAA champ and MMA star Bo Nickal on Saturday.
