The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Alabama RB Najee Harris in the first round in part because they believed he could be the next Derrick Henry. After this stiff arm from Harris, it looks like they may have been right on the money.

In the first half of today’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Harris took the ball up the right sideline and came face-to-face with a Raiders defender. That Raiders player quickly regretted trying to tackle Harris high.

Harris stuck out his left arm shoved the defender away like he was pushing over a rack of clothing. The defender was turned completely onto his back as Harris kept running with the ball.

Harris was eventually tackled and taken down. But not before a big gain.

Najee Harris was a dominating force at Alabama between 2019 and 2020. Last year he finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting after rushing for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns.

He was the consensus top running back in the 2021 NFL Draft class. The Steelers quickly made that true, taking him No. 24 overall in the draft and naming him their starter.

In his NFL debut, Harris had 16 carries for 45 yards and four receiving yards in a loss to the Buffalo Bills. He has 24 yards from scrimmage through the first 20 minutes of football today.

Will we see any more Najee Harris highlight plays today?

The Raiders-Steelers game is being played on CBS.
