There isn’t an automotive enthusiast among us who wouldn’t love the opportunity to slide a supercar around a racetrack. Turning fat slabs of rubber into a potent inhalant is thrilling, but it does inherently present some risk to the vehicle you’re taking beyond the limit. One group of supercar owners, which included a Porsche Carrera GT, solved the threat imposed by high speeds by finding a nice big patch of grass to play in. Unfortunately, the local authorities weren’t too keen on the action.

YouTuber TheTFJJ managed to capture some of the off-tarmac shenanigans, which they state took place outside of a local car show. Apparently some of the attendees grew bored of simply looking at the swaths of fine machinery, and decided it was better to let the things sing. The first car on the scene is a Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, which packs one of the greatest sounding V-8 engines of all-time. The owner is quick to start ripping some donuts with the top down, as every Speciale Aperta should at least once in their lives. A wild McLaren 675LT caught whiff of the action and would take a turn next, quickly followed-up by a Ferrari 599 GTO. Despite driving one of just 599 examples in the world, the owner of the GTO had no problem taking the 670-hp V-12 up towards its 8250 rpm redline.

The Porsche fans were next on the donut patch, with both a 911 GT3 RS and a Carrera GT ripping some noticeably aggressive runs. The Carrera GT in particular looks ridiculous out on the grass, its nose struggling to make it over every undulation. The car’s screaming V-10 soundtrack proved a bit too much for the cops, as the local authorities quickly descended on the GT in a BMW i3. This doesn’t really deter the Porsche’s owner, who continues to let the world hear that glorious noise. The intrusion from the cops doesn’t appear to have been very forceful, as a handful of other ridiculous cars still end up rolling through for a spin. A Ferrari SF90, a Lancia Delta S4, and an Aerial Nomad made notable appearances in their own right. It seems unlikely then that these drivers were cited for their shenanigans.

A field is certainly a safer place to do some skids than the street, but it’s probably not the best thing to do so in earshot of the authorities. It also might not be a bad idea to actually own the grass you’re using to simply avoid that confrontation all together. Of course the first step in all of this involves getting a supercar.
