The 2024 BNP Paribas Open, better known to tennis fans as Indian Wells, starts today in California.

The tournament is a combined ATP Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 event, making it just one step under a Grand Slam—and it's such a big deal that many in the tennis world consider it the unofficial fifth slam. This year's edition of the tournament sees the return of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic to Palm Springs, as well as defending champions Elena Rybakina and Carlos Alcaraz looking to claim their titles again.

There are still last-minute tickets available to Indian Wells, if you're in the area, but most will be tuning in from afar. In the U.S., the 2024 Indian Wells tournament will stream on Tennis Channel and TC Plus.
