How to watch the 2023 NBA All-Star Game

The NBA’s 72nd All-Star Weekend will occur in Salt Lake City, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday with the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.

The Dallas Mavericks have two All-Star starters in this year’s game. Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving were both selected as guards.

Irving was selected as a member of the Brooklyn Nets before he was traded to the Mavericks earlier this month.

Dončić was selected to his fourth straight All-Star appearance and leads the NBA in scoring with 33.3 points per game.

Who are the All-Star Starters?

The All-Star starters are voted on by a collective of players, fans and specific media with the media and player vote counting for 25% apiece and the fan vote accounting for the remaining 50%.

The Eastern Conference Starters are *Kyrie Irving (Dallas Mavericks), Donovan Mitchell (Cleaveland Cavaliers), Jayson Tatum(Boston Celtics), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) replacing the injured *Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns)

The Western Conference Starters are Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies) replacing the injured Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors), Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz) replacing the injured Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans), Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Luka Dončić (Dallas Mavericks) and Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets)

NBA coaches select the All-Star reserves with injury replacements selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

The Western Conference Reserves are *De’Aaron Fox (Sacramento Kings), *Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Paul George (LA Clippers), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Jaren Jackson Jr. (Memphis Grizzlies), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings)

How are the teams selected?

The two players with the highest vote total are voted All-Star game captains and pick their teams. This year it is Team Lebron vs Team Giannis and for the first time, they will select their teams right before the All-Star game.

Who are the coaches?

The All-Star game head coaches are chosen by the team with the best record in each conference. This year’s head coaches are Joe Mazzulla from the Boston Celtics and Mike Malone from the Denver Nuggets.

Who is performing at the All-Star Game?

Rapper Post Malone will perform during the pregame festivities.

The National Anthem will be performed by Utah native Jewel.

This year, the NBA has selected Tems, Burna Boy and Rema to perform at halftime.

The Ruffles Celebrity All-Star Game at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN

The Jordan Rising Stars Game at 8 p.m. CT on TNT

Saturday, Feb. 18

The NBA X HBCU Classic presented by AT&T at 3 p.m. CT on NBA TV, TNT and ESPN 2 and will feature Grambling State University vs Southern University

State Farm All-Star Saturday Night at 7 p.m. CT on TNT

The order of events will be the Kia Skills Challenge, Starry 3-Point challenge and AT&T Slam Dunk Competition.

Sunday, Feb. 19

NBA Legends Awards at noon on NBA TV and the NBA TV App

NBA G League Up Next Game at 2 p.m. on NBA TV

All-Star Draft Presented by Jordan Brand at 6:30 p.m. on TNT

The 72nd NBA All-Star Game at 7:30 p.m. on TNT
