Washington Nationals Player Threw Up On The Field Today
The Washington Nationals did not get off to a strong start this afternoon. Two pitches into the game, a starting position player had to be removed.
Lucius Fox, today’s starter at third base, was taken out after he vomited on the field, per reporters in attendance. Maikel Franco moved from first base to third base to replace Fox, with Ryan Adams coming off the bench to play first.
Fox, 24, was making his seventh appearance of the season and fourth start. It was his first start at the hot corner after three turns at shortstop.
Lucius Fox just threw up on the field, two pitches into the game.
Riley Adams is now in at first base and Maikel Franco just shifted to third. Don't think I've ever seen something like that before.

Hopefully, nothing is seriously wrong with Fox and he’s dealing with something viral or maybe was dehydrated.
We’ll provide you further information as it becomes available.
In the meantime, the Nationals trail the San Francisco Giants 2-0 in the bottom of the first.
