Warm weather continues in Bucks County on Tuesday, April 30, but showers may move in later

Temperatures will remain well above normal in Bucks County on Tuesday, April 30, but there is a chance some rain develops this evening that could stretch into Wednesday morning.

If you’re getting ready to head out for the day or just want to know what to expect, here’s a look at the forecast from the National Weather Service.

Weather in Bucks County

Although cooler than Monday, temperatures in Bucks County should reach the mid 70s by Tuesday afternoon, said Ray Martin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

"There is a backdoor cold front sliding down today, which is going to keep temperatures down, mostly in 70s across the area," Martin said. "It'll be a different day, as opposed to the 90 degrees we had on Monday in some areas.

"Wednesday will be kind of similar to today," Martin said. "It will be a benign day, with temperatures in the 70s."

The National Weather Service provided additional detail in its morning forecast advisory post on X, formerly Twitter:

Martin said there is no threat of heavy rain nor winds in Bucks County at least through the rest of the week, although showers could pop up over the next few days.

"There is a small chance of rain Tuesday night in Bucks County," Martin said. "But nothing severe."

Bucks County residents could also see an isolated shower early Wednesday, Martin said.

"There could be a stray shower Wednesday morning due to the low-level cloud cover, but that will break up later in the day," Martin said. "We then warm up a bit on Thursday, and then cool down again on Friday."

According to the National Weather Service's 7-day forecast for Bucks County, a few rain showers may show up Wednesday afternoon as well, but otherwise, it will be partly sunny with temperatures in the mid 70s.

Thursday is tracking to be a mostly sunny day, with temperatures rebounding a bit to 80 degrees for the daytime high.

And Friday is shaping up to be a partly sunny day, with temperatures in the low to mid 70s.

The National Weather Service says temperatures cool off just a touch on Tuesday, April 30, but will still be well above normal.
