Warby Parker brings "full assortment" of offerings to new downtown Savannah store
Broughton Street's run of national retail welcomed its newest addition last Saturday.
Cool eyewear stalwart Warby Parker opened its first Savannah brick-and-mortar on the recently refurbished downtown commercial corridor. Now, hip Savannahians can try on frames in-store rather than at home. The storefront will offer eye exams, contact lenses and an array of Warby Parker's eyeglass options at what will be its ninth shop in Georgia.
"We're thrilled to be part of this unique community and are in great company among other national retailers and local businesses," said Sandy Gilsenan, Warby Parker's chief retail and customer experience officer, in an email.
The eyewear shop, 226 W. Broughton St., sits in between Jefferson and Barnard Streets next to H&M and Maple Street Biscuit Company. The location will feature Warby Parker's 2024 Spring Collection, with options starting at $95. It will also carry the "full assortment" of sun and eyeglasses, the press release said.
The inside of the store features artwork done by Atlanta artist George F. Baker III, with one section reading "GO SEE THE WORLD" and "NICE TO SEE YOU" in shades of monochromatic "Warby blue." Gilsenan said Warby Parker retail locations often partner with local artists.
"We’re delighted to welcome Warby Parker to Savannah,” said Lori Judge, the realtor who leased the property, in a press release. “The new Warby Parker location is an ideal addition to the fantastic blend of retailers that define Broughton Street.”
