Walnut Hills to host Community Cookout and Cruise-In Car Show

Walnut Hills Retirement Community in Walnut Creek will hold a Community Cookout and Cruise-In Car Show 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, May 16.

The free event is open to the community and is being held in conjunction with National Nursing Home Week, which is May 12-18.

Walnut Hills team members and volunteers will serve hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and pasta salad, as well as drinks and dessert. The cookout will be held under the large carport area in front of the nursing home.

Several local car enthusiasts will display classic automobiles in the south parking lot.

“We encourage the community to come out on the 16th to help us celebrate National Nursing Home Week,” said Jodi Dean, director of marketing. “Food and fun will be available from 11-1.”

Walnut Hills is located at 4748 Olde Pump St., Walnut Creek.
