Walker Sneak Peek: Matt Barr’s Hoyt Returns to Pull Off a Heist (Exclusive)

Hoyt Rawlins is at it again.

Matt Barr’s lovable scoundrel is back in this Wednesday’s Walker (The CW, 8/7c), and he’s up to no good in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek.

In last week’s episode, Stella and Auggie made the connection that the necklace at the center of the Witt mystery belonged to Hoyt’s ancestor in the late 1800s. What’s more, the jewelry piece was on display at a museum… until it was stolen about five years ago. Naturally, Stella and Auggie deduced that their beloved late “uncle” had to have been behind the theft because he wouldn’t have been OK with a family heirloom just sitting behind glass.

The above video from this week’s episode sheds light on just what went down, as Hoyt sets out to swipe the necklace. Creating a distraction and grabbing the gem proves to be surprisingly easy, but getting out of the museum is the real challenge. And then there’s the issue of Hoyt getting too attached to the necklace to hawk it.

Barr, of course, also played Hoyt’s ancestor on the cancelled spinoff Walker Independence.

Talking about this installment, showrunner Anna Fricke previously told TVLine, “I wouldn’t say it’s exactly closure from Independence, but we do get into some ancestral-inspired stories. We do get into a little bit of history.”

Elsewhere in the episode, “Walker, Trey and Cassie prepare for what Captain James has in store for them at HQ,” reads the official synopsis. Plus, “Walker makes plans for his future and Liam questions his brother’s motives.”
