Voting returns for Current-Argus Prep Softball Hero of the Week Poll
Each week during the high school sports season, the Current-Argus asks readers to vote for Prep Hero of the Week.
This week people can vote for their favorite softball player.
Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday and winners are announced online Thursday at currentargus.com.
You can vote as often as you like and good luck to the participants.

This week’s nominees:
Faith Rivera Carlsbad: Had two hits, drove in two runs and scored a run in the second game of a doubleheader against Hobbs last week.
Aubrey Hernandez Carlsbad pitcher: Was the winning pitcher of last week’s 16-14 win over Hobbs in the second game of the doubleheader.
Abbigail Nieto Loving outfielder-first base: Batted 1,000 last week in an 18-2 win over Jal. She scored two runs and drove in a run.
Braylee Hunt Loving pitcher-infielder: Batted 1,000 against Jal, had three hits and four runs batted in.
Madison Martinez Artesia pitcher: Pitched a no-hitter and a complete game in a 19-0 shutout in the opening game of a doubleheader last week against Portales. Struck out five in the win.
Kayden Apodaca Artesia pitcher: Gave up one hit and struck out 12 in a 12-0 win over Portales in the second game of a doubleheader last week.
