It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Prep Athlete of the Week, presented by the Detroit Area Honda Dealers.
During the 2023-24 MHSAA season, our staff of reporters are scouring the state for the top performances each week, and every week we'll provide you five players for you to vote on.
By Saturday morning, we'll publish the player you voted on to be the new Prep Athlete of the Week.
THE RANKINGS: Michigan high school boys and girls basketball state rankings, Feb. 18
Here are the nominees:
Steve Elam, Adrian: After scoring 33 points with 11 rebounds in a 64-46 win over Jackson, the senior had 37 points in a 68-63 victory over Jackson Northwest.
Carter Gensch, Hemlock: The senior scored 43 points to lead Hemlock to a 66-40 victory over Saginaw Swan Valley.
Mia McGregor, Mio: The freshman fired in 43 points as Mio defeated Whittemore-Prescott, 73-16.
Gabby Reynolds, Holland West Ottawa: The senior scored 47 points as West Ottawa defeated Jenison, 66-34.
Zander Woodruff, Laingsburg: The senior had 52 points as Laingsburg knocked off Freeland, 72-65.
