Vote: Who are the Summit County High School Athletes of the Week for April 22-28?

It's time to take a look at the standout high school performers from Summit County for last week.

Your vote will determine who will be the Summit County High School Athlete of the Week for April 22-28. We will pick one girl and one boy. Each athlete's credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 5 p.m. Thursday. The winners will be announced Friday morning on BeaconJournal.com.

Here's a look at the girls nominees, in alphabetical order:

Rachel Baker, Manchester softball

Continues to do it all for the Panthers. She struck out 13 to earn the win and had a single and an RBI Thursday in a 9-2 win over Hoban; pitched a three-hitter with 17 strikeouts Tuesday in a 9-0 win over STVM; and pitched a two-hitter and had two singles and an RBI Monday in an 11-1 win over CVCA.

Taylor Gerring, Hoban softball

Capped a big week by going 3 for 4 with a triple, a run scored and three RBIs Saturday in an 11-4 win over Evergreen. Also had two singles and an RBI Thursday in a 9-2 loss to Manchester, hit a home run Tuesday in an 8-7 win over Willoughby South and went 2 for 3 with a run scored Monday in a 3-2 loss to Jackson.

Mackie Stickler, Hudson lacrosse

Had six goals and two assists Saturday in a 16-5 win over Western Reserve Academy.

Natalie Susa, Walsh Jesuit softball

Won twice in the circle last week to improve to 7-0, beating Anthony Wayne 1-0 Saturday and striking out nine Friday in a 7-0 win over Amherst Steele.

Alexis Walker, Copley softball

Blasted a grand slam home run and finished with five RBIs Wednesday in an 18-6 win over Barberton, and had two hits Thursday in a 6-5 win over Kent Roosevelt.

Here's a look at the boys nominees, in alphabetical order:

Connor Christie, STVM baseball

Capped a big week by going 3 for 4 with triple and two RBIs Saturday in a 10-9 extra-inning loss to Perry. He also improved to 3-0 on the mound and had two singles, a double and an RBI Friday in a 7-1 win over North.

Lucas Foote, Norton tennis

Played five matches last week and won them all without dropping a single set. He won 6-2, 6-0 over Ravenna on Saturday; twice by 6-0, 6-0 scores over Field on Thursday; and 6-4, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-4 over Coventry on Monday.

John Harabedian, CVCA baseball

Pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts against two walks Monday in a 1-0 win over Manchester in a Principals Athletic Conference showdown. Also had two hits and scored a run Thursday in an 8-0 win over Canton South, and a double and two RBIs Saturday in a 5-3 win over Holy Name.

Dash Lanzilotta, Nordonia baseball

Pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts and drove in a run Thursday in an 8-0 win over Solon, after going 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI Monday in a 16-6 win over Hudson.

Jackson Lewis, Norton baseball

Pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and no walks Monday in an 8-0 win over Springfield. Also went 2 for 3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI Tuesday in a 12-0 win over Springfield.
