It’s time to vote for The State’s high school football Player of the Week from Midlands-area high schools and games played Oct. 22. Voting ends Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Caleb Alexander, TE, Irmo: Junior caught six passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Westwood.

Tyrell Brown, DL, Newberry: Senior had six tackles, four for loss, two quarterback pressures and forced a fumble in a win over Columbia.

Alias Graham-Woodberry, RB, Gilbert: Senior carried it 26 times for 242 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Dreher.

Jarvis Green, RB, Dutch Fork: In one half, the senior carried it 19 times for 191 yards, caught four passes for 106 yards and tied a school record with seven touchdowns in a win over River Bluff.

TyDarion Grier, WR, Fairfield Central: Senior caught four passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Eau Claire.

Zahir Jones, RB, Blythewood: Junior carried it 22 times for 161 yards and two touchdowns as Blythewood defeated Rock Hill to win its first region title since 2013.

Hasan Lee, WR, White Knoll: Junior caught five passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in a win over Chapin.

Chris Lofton, WR, AC Flora: Senior caught five passes for 80 yards, two touchdowns and picked off a pass in a win over Lugoff-Elgin.

Jah Mayrant, WR, Camden: Junior played in his first game since Week 4 and had 155 all-purpose yards in a region-clinching win over Crestwood.

Bo Morris, TE, Ben Lippen: Senior caught nine passes for 130 yards and game-winning touchdown with 19 seconds left in a win over Augusta Christian.

Jamel Patterson, DB, Lower Richland: Junior had five tackles, picked off two passes and returned one for a touchdown in a win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

Deshaun Washington, RB, Brookland-Cayce: Junior rushed for 138 yards, three touchdowns and also returned an interception for a touchdown in a win over Swansea.
