VOTE: South Bend Tribune Athlete of the Week, April 22-28, 2024

It's now time to vote for the South Bend Tribune Athlete of the Week for April 22-28, 2024.

Six athletes - five from Indiana and one from Michigan — are nominated below. The poll will remain open until noon ET Wednesday. You may vote as many times as you want throughout the duration of the poll. You can find the poll by SCROLLING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

Here are the nominees, in alphabetical order by school.

Bremen softball senior Mikayla Shively

Shively had a huge week at the plate, hitting four home runs and totaling 13 RBI as part of a 3-1 week for the Lions. Two of her long balls were grand slams, coming in back-to-back games against Jimtown Wednesday and Triton Thursday.

Buchanan softball senior Hannah Herman

The Bucks went 4-0 this week, in large part to Herman. The Michigan State commit had eight hits and 11 RBI in those contests, helping Buchanan improve to 12-2 overall.

Elkhart boys golf junior Steven Webb

Webb won the Adams Invitational at Morris Park CC Friday, sinking a 40-foot putt on the second playoff hole to earn medalist honors. His final score was a two-over 72.

Jimtown baseball sophomore Brodric Kaler

Kaler was on fire at the plate this week, recording hits in five of his seven at-bats for a .714 average, driving in four runs. He also drew two walks to give him an on-base percentage of .700.

Saint Joseph boys track and field senior Brady Farrell

Farrell broke a 49-year-old school record Thursday, reaching 14-03 feet in the pole vault at the South Bend city meet. He helped the Huskies win the team title against five other schools.

South Bend Washington girls track senior Terryah Leonard

Leonard was a two-time winner at the South Bend city track meet, winning the 100- and- 400-meter dash races. She was also on the second-place 4X100-meter relay team, scoring a total of 28 team points for the Panthers.
