Have you voted yet? Here are the TNT’s endorsements for Pierce County and WA elections

Below you will find The News Tribune Editorial Board’s slate of 2022 election endorsements. They were reached by consensus after conducting group interviews with candidates in each race over the course of the primary and general election seasons. Independent research also informed our choices, as well as years of experience closely following local and state issues.

The links below will take you to our previously published full-length endorsements. Endorsements from the primary carry over to the general election. We don’t issue endorsements in uncontested races or races where a write-in candidate qualified for the general election ballot. We don’t endorse candidates who decline to be interviewed. If you’re interested in learning more about our process and how endorsement decisions are reached, former opinion editor Matt Misterek explained the details here.

Finally, endorsements are offered exclusively to subscribers. The News Tribune Editorial Board offers endorsements as a service to readers, and subscriptions make that work possible.
