Welcome to the fourth installment of the Seacoast high school Athletes of the Week for the 2024 spring sports season, presented by York County Community College.

This week, and in weeks to come, you can vote for a girls athlete of the week and a boys athlete of the week.

This week's poll is for outstanding athletic accomplishments during the week of April 29-May 4.

How do I cast my vote?

Voting can be completed through the two ballots listed below. Voting closes midnight Thursday, May 9.

How do we learn who wins?

Winners will be announced in a story published on Friday, May 10 at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports.

May I nominate for future ballots?

Yes. Nominate a Seacoast high school athlete by sending an email to sports@seacoastonline.com. Feel free to send us a photo of the athlete, too.

Here are this week's nominees and polls:

BOYS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Brody Gullison, York, baseball

Gullison pitched a full seven innings of one-hit ball, striking out nine batters, to lead York to a 2-1 win over Wells last Monday.

John Tran, Dover, tennis

Tran won his No. 6 singles match, 8-1, and teamed up with Gavin Beauregard to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles in Tuesday's 7-2 win over Spaulding, and on Wednesday, Tran won his No. 6 singles match 8-6, and again won a doubles match with Beauregard, 8-1 at No. 3 against Spaulding.

Isaiah Perodin, Marshwood, track

Perodin won the 110-meter hurdles (16.36 seconds) and the triple jump (40 feet, 9 inches) as the Hawks placed first in a three-team event this past Wednesday, beating out Falmouth and Thornton Academy.

Beckett Rath, Winnacunnet, lacrosse

Rath had six goals, and one assist, to lead Winnacunnet to a 17-4 win over Kennett on Friday.

Simon Grandmaison, Somersworth, baseball

Grandmaison allowed two hits and struck out six batters in seven innings of work, and collected two hits and an RBI in Somersworth's 7-4 win over Inter-Lakes on Saturday. He also had a home run and two RBIs in a 5-4 loss to Raymond.

GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Sarah Orso, York, softball

Sarah Orso

Orso, a freshman, pitched a complete-game one-hitter, and she had three hits in York's 17-2 win over Cape Elizabeth. She also had four hits and two RBI to lead the Wildcats to a 11-1 win over Morse on Saturday. Orso also had a hit and three RBI in a 14-4 win over Wells.

Charlotte De Tolla, St. Thomas Aquinas, lacrosse

Sophomore Charlotte De Tolla had five goals, including the100th point of her career, as the St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse team beat Gilford Monday in a Division III contest.
Sophomore Charlotte De Tolla had five goals, including the100th point of her career, as the St. Thomas Aquinas girls lacrosse team beat Gilford Monday in a Division III contest.

De Tolla, in just her fifth game as a sophomore, scored a team-high five goals and reached the 100-point mark for her varsity career, in the Saints' 12-7 win over Gilford last Monday.

Grace Royal, Oyster River, lacrosse

Royal scored a game-high seven goals, nearly matching Manchester Central's team total, in Bobcats' 16-8 win last Monday. Royal also had four goals and one assist in the 16-6 win over Spaulding on Tuesday, had six goals and three assists in an 18-0 win over Alvirne, and she had seven goals and one assist in Friday's loss to Goffstown.

McKinley Fowler, Winnacunnet, lacrosse

Fowler, a freshman, scored a game-high six goals to lead Winnacunnet to a 18-3 Division I win over Manchester Memorial on Tuesday, and she had four goals in a 19-3 win over Kingswood on Thursday.

Sophia Jundi, Portsmouth, tennis

Jundi won her No. 1 match, 8-2, and teamed up with Avery Porter to win 8-1 at No. 1 doubles in the Clippers' 9-0 win over Con-Val, and won her No. 1match, 8-2 in Portsmouth's 5-0 win over Timberlane on Thursday.
