Voting is now open for The News Tribune’s high school Athlete of the Week poll (Aug. 29 to Sept. 3). Voting will remain open until Thursday at noon. Vote as often as you’d like.

Bryson Allen, Franklin Pierce, fr. — Rushed 10 times for 122 yards in 28-14 win over Chief Sealth.

Gabe Downing, Olympia, sr. — Bears’ QB completed 37-of-47 passes for 381 yards and five touchdowns in loss to Curtis.

Tony Harste, Emerald Ridge, jr. — Hauled in four receptions for 65 yards and three touchdowns in Emerald Ridge’s loss to Puyallup.

Blaze Herbert, Gig Harbor, sr. — Rushed 22 times for 156 yards and a touchdown in 20-0 win over Spanaway Lake. Also caught two passes for 26 yards.

Rocco Koch, Curtis, jr. — Rushed 25 times for 184 yards and a touchdown, adding 150 yards and two touchdowns through the air in win over Olympia.

Job Kralik, Eatonville, sr. — Completed 6-of-6 passes for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns, also rushing for 120 yards and three touchdowns on five carries in 47-27 win over Olympic.

Josiah Maxey-Johnson, Mount Tahoma, sr. — Caught five passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns in 25-14 loss to North Kitsap.

Austin Paulson, Enumclaw, sr. — Caught a pair of touchdown passes in Enumclaw’s 29-27 road win over 3A Peninsula.

Tanner Peavler, Orting, sr. — Caught two passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in 28-21 loss to Squalicum.

Andre Piper-Jordan Jr., Federal Way, sr. — On defense, had a 54-yard pick six. On offense, caught two passes for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Also chipped in 34 yards rushing.

Brayden Platt, Yelm, jr. — Rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns in 44-14 win over 4A Camas. On defense, had four tackles, three tackle assists and a tackle for loss.

Leo Pulalasi, Lakes, sr. – BYU commit scored four TDs – three rushing, one receiving – in the Lancers’ 50-23 season-opening win over Kentwood.

Zach Roberston, Fife, jr. — Rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns 43-6 win over Interlake.

Cade Sando, Cascade Christian, sr. — Threw for 301 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 25-7 win over Cedar Park Christian on Saturday.

Daveon Superales, Graham-Kapowsin, jr. – Eagles quarterback completed 12-of-13 passes for 242 yards and three TDs in first career start in season-opening 56-0 win over Rogers.

Lyndon Tanoa, Curtis, sr. — Rushed 17 times for 107 yards and a touchdown in win over Olympia. Also caught a touchdown pass and on defense, had 11 solo tackles.

Luvens Valcin, Auburn, jr. — Hauled in 15 receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown in loss to Prairie.

Jacob Velasco, Puyallup, sr. — Scored on two 2-point conversions, had a receiving touchdown, an interception on defense and came in as the backup quarterback and completed his lone pass for the game-winning touchdown to Donte Grant in comeback win over Emerald Ridge.

Ki’marree Washington, Lakes, sr. – Rushed for 158 yards and two TDs on 13 carries in the Lancers’ 50-23 season-opening win over Kentwood.
