Vote for the Nashville area girls basketball 2023-24 midseason player of the year

Who do you think is the Nashville area girls basketball midseason player of the year at this point in 2023-24 TSSAA season?

Ella Ryan, Brentwood, Jr.: The shooting guard is averaging 24 points, six rebounds, three assists and four steals. She has offers from Quinnipiac, Mercer, Samford, Furman, Northern KY, LaSalle, and Wofford.

Addison Melton, Central Magnet, Sr.: The Lipscomb signee averages 19 points, five rebounds and 2.8 assists.

Malaya Woullard, Clarksville Academy, Sr.: The senior guard averages 17.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.2 steals. She’s shooting 32% from 3-point range and 76% from the free-throw line.

Imari Berry, Clarksville, Sr.: The Clemson signee averages 25.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 4.2 steals for the unbeaten Lady Wildcats (15-0).

Saviya Morgan, Columbia, Sr.: Morgan averages 18 points on 54% field-goal shooting. The Tennessee softball signee also averages six steals, three assists and four rebounds.

Allye Pennington, East Robertson, Fr.: In her varsity debut, Pennington’s averaging 20.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals. She’s shooting 55% from the field and 35.9% from beyond the arc.

Natalie Kaye, Grace Christian, Sr.: She averages 20.1 points, six rebounds, 2.1 steals and is shooting 35.1% from three-point range.

Ellie Butler, Livingston Academy, Jr.: Butler averages 20.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.6 assists for the Lady Wildcats (13-5).

Ally Weathers, Loretto, Jr.: Weathers averages 18.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and four assists. She surpassed the 1,000-point career mark this season.

Jordan Brown, Maplewood, So.: Brown’s averaging 18.3 points, four assists and two steals.

Leilani Washington, Nolensville, Jr.: The combo guard averages 16.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.7 steals.

Daisy Gale, PCA, Sr.: The Mars Hill University signee averages 18 points and five rebounds, shooting 37.5% from long range and 80% from the foul line.

Erianna Thomas, Pearl-Cohn, Sr.: Thomas averages 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and six assists. She recorded a quadruple-double earlier this season with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and 11 steals in a win over Overton

Kamaria Murray, Rockvale High School, Sr.: She averages 16.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.5 steals.

Torri James, Rossview, Sr.: The Western Kentucky signee averages 16.2 points on 61% shooting from the field to go with 8.2 rebounds per game.

Izzy McPherson, Sycamore, Sr.: The Chattanooga commitment averages 19.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

Blair Baugus, Wayne County, Jr.: The returning Class 1A Miss Basketball winner averages 17.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks, while shooting 57% from the field and 83% from the foul line. Her Division I offers include Chattanooga, Lipscomb, MTSU, Southern Miss, Belmont, & Appalachian State.

Daria Biriuk, Webb School, Jr.: She’s averaging 17.9 points on 51% shooting from the field. She’s shooting 38.4% from long range to go with 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.5 steals per game. She has Power 5 offers from Maryland, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Miss State, Ohio State, Clemson and BYU.

Celeste Reed, White County, Sr.: White’s averaging 16.4 points, 10 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals for the Warriorettes (18-1).

Reese Beaty, York Institute, Jr.: The Clemson commitment averages 20.4 points on 40.9% shooting from 3-point range and 82.6% from the foul line. She also averages 6.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals for York (12-3).
