Vote for Mississippi girls high school athlete of the week April 15-20

There were several top performers across the state in girls high school sports, but only one can be voted athlete of the week for April 15-20.

Fans may vote in the poll below one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Friday.

Nominations

Claudi Ann Brown, New Site: Brown had four hits and four RBIs in New Site's 16-2 win over Falkner.

Peyton Collins, George County: Collins went 5-for-9 with three triples and five RBIs, including eight innings pitched with 12 strikeouts in the George County's wins over East Central and Pascagoula.

Emma Mayer, Myrtle: Mayer was 8-for-10 with four doubles, two triples, two home runs and six RBIs in Mrytle's wins over Jumpertown, Hickory Flat and Houlka.

Carmen Owens, Pontotoc: Owens was a four-time Region 1 Class 5A winner, winning the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter dash and anchored the winning 4x400-meter relay.

Kara Walker, Lewisburg: Walker was 6-for-9 at the plate with three triples, eight RBIs, five runs scored and three stolen bases in Lewisburg's wins over Hernando, Southaven and Oxford.
