This week's nominees for Courier Journal girls athlete of the week geared up for the softball postseason with some solid performances.
Voting is underway for The Courier Journal's girls athlete of the week. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

Eva Hidrogo, Portland Christian, softball
Sophomore Eva Hidrogo tossed a one-hitter and struck out 10 to help the Eagles beat Fort Knox, 10-0. She also drove in a run.
Graceann Knoerr, Sacred Heart, softball
Freshman Graceann Knoerr had five hits, including two home runs, and five RBIs to help the Valkyries defeat Boyle County and Grayson County.
Jaelyn Oaks, Assumption, softball
Freshman Jaelyn Oaks had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs to help the Rockets defeat Central Hardin.
Sydney Sheely, Notre Dame, softball
Sophomore Sydney Sheely had four hits, four RBIs and two stolen bases to help the Pandas defeat Lloyd Memorial, Highlands and Bishop Brossart.
Josslyn Woosley, Male, softball
Seventh grader Josslyn Woosley had three hits, including a double and home run, and one RBI to help the Bulldogs defeat North Oldham.
