Despite a rainy week, several Louisville-area boys athletes posted solid performances.
Voting is underway for The Courier Journal's boys athlete of the week. The poll closes at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will be announced Friday.

Simon Kenton sophomore Jacob Piper had two hits, three RBIs and one stolen base to help Simon Kenton beat Carroll County.
Cooper Risinger, Ballard, lacrosse
Ballard junior Cooper Risinger had five goals and two assists to help the Bruins defeat Covington Catholic.
