Vote: Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week reader poll

With spring break in the books, it's once again time to vote for this week's Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week.

The athletes featured in this poll represent the best on-field performers from the past week of high school sports competitions around the Augusta area. The poll will close Friday at 5 p.m.

Nominees for the Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week

Ayla Holmes, North Augusta softball

Holmes went 6-for-12 at the plate with eight walks and six RBI in three games last week (two over Midland Valley, one over Airport), helping the Jackets clinch a region title.

Wyatt Spaulding, Greenbrier boys lacrosse

Spaulding recorded four goals and two ground balls in an April 18 win over Evans to clinch the area championship.

Alex Kassatly, Augusta Prep boys tennis

Kassatly earned the GIAA Class 2A boys individual state championship on April 16.

Connor Austin, Lakeside boys lacrosse

Austin scored three times and added 10 ground balls and an assist in a regular-season finale win over Grovetown.

Carson Murphy, Richmond Academy girls soccer

Murphy scored a pair of goals and added four assists in Richmond Academy’s 10-0 win over Carver in the first round of the state playoffs.

Maggie Crozier, Harlem girls soccer

Crozier scored the lone goal in regulation for the Lady Dogs in their first-round win over Thomasville.

Madison Crouch, Greenbrier girls soccer

Crouch recorded two goals and three assists in a 10-0 win over Arabia Mountain in the first round of the state playoffs.

Copelan Thurmond, Aquinas baseball

Thurmond went 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of homers and four RBI in a 10-9 loss to Augusta Prep in the regular-season finale.

Madee Whittle, South Aiken girls soccer

Whittle recorded a pair of goals in a 2-1 win over Aiken on April 19.

Bradley Anderson, Fox Creek baseball

Anderson went 1-for-4 at the plate with a double and two RBI in an extra innings, 5-4 win over Strom Thurmond on April 19.
