It's time to vote for this week's Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week.

This is the final athlete of the week poll for the 2024 spring season and will close Friday at 5 p.m. The athletes featured in this poll represent the best on-field performers from the past week of high school sports competitions around the Augusta area.

Nominees for the Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week

Santiago Pacheco, Augusta Christian baseball

Pacheco tossed a complete game in a 1-0 win over Ben Lippen in the Lions’ SCISA Class 4A state playoff opener last week, allowing just three hits while striking out eight over seven innings.

Landry Washington, Aquinas girls soccer

Washington scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Towns County in the GHSA Class A D-II state semifinals last week, propelling the Fightin’ Irish to the state championship game Tuesday.

Blake Fuss, North Augusta soccer

Fuss recorded a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Indian Land in the SCHSL Class 4A state playoff opener last week.

LeAnn Gilbert, North Augusta softball

Gilbert allowed two earned runs over seven innings in a 6-2 win over Indian Land in the SCHSL Class 4A state playoffs last week. She also went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI.

Devin Hillary, Fox Creek baseball

Hillary went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a double and three RBI in a 13-1 win over Abbeville in the SCHSL Class 2A state playoffs last week.

Christopher Swint, Davidson Fine Arts track and field

Swint took the top spot in the boys 200-meter (21.64) and 400-meter (48.93) dashes at the GHSA Class 2A sectionals over the weekend.

I’Mani Lowery, Glenn Hills track and field

Lowery took the top spot in the 100-meter dash (12.20) at the GHSA Class 2A sectionals over the weekend.

Thomas Boudreaux, Harlem track and field

Boudreaux took the top spot in the 400-meter dash (50.36) at the GHSA Class 3A sectionals over the weekend.

Saniyah Hailey, Hephzibah track and field

Hailey took the top spot in the 100-meter dash (12.27) at the GHSA Class 3A sectionals over the weekend.

Brooke Jordan, Cross Creek track and field

Jordan took the top spot in the 100-meter (15.32) and 300-meter (46.76) hurdles at the GHSA Class 3A sectionals over the weekend.

Rivers placed first in the boys pole vault (12-06.00) at the GHSA Class 6A sectionals over the weekend.

Maddison Brister, Grovetown track and field

Brister took the top spot in the 400-meter dash (54.58) at the GHSA Class 6A sectionals over the weekend.

Kennedy Myers, Lakeside track and field

Myers took the top spot in the 100-meter hurdles (13.88) at the GHSA Class 6A sectionals over the weekend.
