Marianne Vos won stage three of Vuelta Femenina with a powerful sprint in Teruel, Spain.

Vos crossed the line ahead of fellow Dutch rider Charlotte Kool and Canadian Olivia Baril, following strong work from her Visma-Lease a Bike team.

The 36-year-old now has three stage wins in the event to add to her two victories in La Roda and Guadalajara last year.

Hungarian Kata Blanka Vas still holds the leader’s red jersey, after picking up two bonus seconds at the 130.3km stage's intermediate sprint.

Vos is one second behind the 22-year-old in the general classification, while stage two winner Alison Jackson of Canada is third.

"Very happy, and satisfied," Vos said at the finish. "Yesterday, we already worked hard and tried hard, but we had some bad luck in the final. And today we went all-in again.

"All the girls worked really hard for this. And of course it’s really nice to be able to finish it off. So yeah, very happy with this win."

On Wednesday, riders will take on a 142.3km flat stage between Molina de Aragon and Zaragoza.
