We're an arms-length away from Virgin River season 5 part 2 and it's arriving just in time for the holiday season. Yes, we're about to be presented with some much-need answers and a frenzy of Christmas fun. (Not to mention, season 6 has officially been given the stamp of approval by Netflix, which means there's a whole new season to get excited for!)
Part 1 of the popular Netflix series premiered back in September, leaving us feeling desperate and wanting more—even if it was just a few short months ago. But no, we're not bitter. If anything, we're grateful, because we missed our friends. Did we say friends? We meant the amazing cast of Virgin River! Soon enough, we'll be able to catch up with the characters on new episodes of the show.

That means that after the craze of preparing your Thanksgiving dinner, but before you start baking your Christmas cookies, you can sit back and relax for a few more episodes of Virgin River. In the meantime, you can catch our favorite shows like Virgin River to hold you over.
How many episodes will be in Virgin River season 5 part 2?
The second part of season 5 will feature 2 new episodes. The first half contained 10 episodes, and if you remember, we were left with some serious questions that need answers. So, we can certainly hope that these next two episodes will help wrap things up.
What will Virgin River season 5 part 2 be about?
There's a lot of directions this could take. Though, we definitely know that these two episodes will be holiday themed. Patrick Sean Smith, a producer for Virgin River, spoke to Glamour recently, letting fans in on what we can expect for the future of the show's plot.
"The holiday episodes are a little bit lighter, and we wanted to play a little more comedy after the weight of this season," Smith said. "It felt like, if we're going to give a holiday gift to the audience, let's make it a fun one."
He went on to share that we can expect to see Mel and Jack trying to track down the man who is her biological father and more about Brie, Mike, Brady and Lark, including "a side of Lark that we haven't really seen yet that might be a little surprising," he said.
Is there a trailer?
Yes! Netflix released a short teaser of the two upcoming holiday episodes, and it's festive, fun, and everything we could've asked for from the show!
In the video, we see everyone in the town of Virgin River gearing up for the annual Christmas tree light competition, which is apparently really competitive!
While these upcoming episodes will be rather joyous, there are darker circumstances that the show can't necessarily avoid. Such is the case with the shocking recovery of Wes' body—which was obviously bad news for Preacher and his relationship with Kaia. Though, according to Smith—we will certainly get the answers to that during these holiday specials. (Fingers crossed that it's not terrible news!)
Also, everyone's eyebrows just about raised when we saw the infamous ex-couple, Brie (Zibby Allen) and Dan Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), standing under something that resembles a mistletoe. Uh... what? Depending on whose side you were on after the breakup, this could be either good news or bad news!
Either way, we can't wait to dive right in!
