This Viral Video Shows You How to Make an Easy Pumpkin Spice Dump Cake
To many of us, “fall” is really more like “pumpkin spice season.” Seriously, these chilly months are synonymous with all things pumpkin spice; we’ve sipped the classic latte, but we’ve also tried less traditional offerings like popcorn and cotton candy.
Thankfully, TikTok has come through with yet another way for us to keep the trend going: pumpkin spice dump cake. Like all TikTok recipes, it’s easy to make and utterly delectable.
It’s BEYOND Easy to Put Together
Seriously, you could probably do this in your sleep—it definitely takes less than 10 minutes to put together.
Here’s a look at the ingredients:
15 ounces pumpkin puree (Here’s our official ranking of canned pumpkin brands.)
12 ounces evaporated milk
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 box yellow cake mix (Here’s the brand Test Kitchen relies on.)
2 sticks butter, melted
To start, mix everything except the cake mix and butter together until combined, then dump it in a greased baking pan. Top with the yellow cake mix, but don’t stir it in—just spread the mix evenly on top. Then, pour on the melted butter and top with whatever extra toppings you want (this TikTok’er used pecans). Stick it in the oven for an hour at 350°, and voila! It’s time to eat the perfect fall dump cake.
