'The View's Ana Navarro Has Bold Opinion About 'Golden Bachelor' Divorce

Ana Navarro

Ana Navarro isn't holding back her real feelings about The Golden Bachelor now that stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have gone their separate ways.

The former lovebirds, who got engaged last fall on the season finale of the ABC reality series, shocked the world on Friday, Apr. 12 by announcing their divorce just three months after tying the knot—but apparently, not everyone was shocked.

The View's Navarro, for one, claims she knew all along that it wouldn't work out.

According to the talk show personality, 52, Navarro had been trying to tell her co-stars that the dating show is a "complete crock" while they unpacked the weekly episodes during their roundtable chats every Friday.

"For six months you tortured me every Friday and made me talk about this topic, which I can’t stand because I think it’s manufactured and a complete crock," Navarro said during Friday's The View episode. "So today I get to say, I told you so, I told you so, I told you so."

Her cohost, Sunny Hostin, who was admittedly a fan of the series, chimed in during the conversation to confess that she had fully believed in Turner and Nist's love story—only to be supremely disappointed by Friday's announcement.

"I fell for this nonsense," Hostin, 55, said. “I’m upset. I thought since they were older they knew better and they could find love, and they didn’t."

While their fellow cohosts, including Alyssa Farah Griffin, Joy Behar and Sara Haines, weighed in to discuss where exactly Turner and Nist went wrong, Navarro said the answer was simple.

"The mistake was going on national TV to try to feign a relationship and love," Navarro said. "I've had pimples that last longer than this marriage."

The news of Turner and Nist's divorce was shared with Good Morning America's Juju Chang on Friday, as the former Golden Bachelor stated, "Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and—and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to dissolve our marriage."

The soon-to-be divorced couple insisted they still have plenty of love for one another, but that this decision is what's best for each of their happiness.
