GASP: Prince William had the audacity to think Kate's coat was too bright yesterday
Kate meets a young girl at the Rainbow Place Children's Hospice, who said that meeting Kate made her "feel like a Princess" too.
The Duchess spent her morning meeting kids and families who are affected by terminal illnesses and loss.
Kate wore an emerald green Erdem coat, with cool detailed stitching along the body.
The Duchess told one on-looker that while she liked the coat, William though it was "a bit bright."
The Duke and Duchess are presented with an Avanti cycling jersey for Prince George during a visit to the Avanti Drome in Hamilton, New Zealand.
AND a sweet bike! Lucky little boy.
Did someone bring up William losing on the waters the other day...?
Kate and William chat at the National Cycling Centre of Excellence and Avantidrome.
What a face! Prince William fires a starting gun for a race as he visits the Avantidrome as Kate looks on (probably laughing...)
They later walked around meeting well-wishers outside.

Yesterday our favorite royal couple took on a few engagements in both Hamilton and Cambridge, New Zealand, with Duchess Kate decked out in green. Kate was wearing a bright emerald $3,120 Allie coat by Canadian designer Erdem, over a tea-length Suzannah dress... and apparently William thought it was a little too bright!

The Duchess revealed how her husband felt about the coat when a woman in the crowd complimented her on the color, and Kate replied saying that she liked it but "William thought it was a bit bright." Whoa, Wills. Watch yourself there! Apparently royal women are often encouraged to wear bright colors so that they will stand out in the crowd. And he-llo, does he not remember that amazing yellow Emilia Wickstead coat she wore while pregnant? His wife can pull any color off she wants.

In the morning the couple took on separate engagements -- Kate visiting Rainbow Place children's hospice while William visited Pacific Aerospace -- and then came together to tour the town of Cambridge. They laid roses on the war memorial there, and then explored the Avanti Drome. The formally opened the sporting space by unveiling a commemorative plaque, and William shot the gun to start a race. Later, they were given a tiny bike for Prince George, lucky baby!
