Baby North West's 1st birthday gift: Pierced ears!

If diamonds really are a girl's best friend, then baby North West is in luck! Mama Kim Kardashian celebrated daughter North's first birthday with an ear piercing just a week and a half prior to the big day, in early June. At her "Kidchella"-themed birthday party this past weekend, North sported baby diamond studs.
A report by US Weekly claims that Kim wanted the ear piercing to coincide with North's first birthday, and opted to have the procedure done in the privacy of her home. We're really hoping this turns into a Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode!
While some may raise their eyebrows at such an early piercing, it's really not that uncommon -- especially for celebrities! Us Weekly also noted that celebs like Gisele Bundchen and Angelina Jolie have gotten their kids' ears pierced young too, so Kim and North are in good company.
If diamonds were North's first birthday present, we can't imagine what Kim and Kanye will splurge on in the years to come. It looks like North is on her way to having just as much style as Mom and Dad.
