Kendall and Kylie Jenner make TIME magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens list
Kendall and Kylie Jenner's appearance on TIME Magazine's '25 Most Influential Teens of 2014' is causing some serious backlash!
The digital mag made the announcement yesterday, saying, "together, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians co-stars hosted red-carpet events, released clothing and nail polish lines and even published a dystopian young-adult novel this past summer (though yes, they had some help)."
While all this is true, they have seen a lot of success this year from Kendall's forray during Fashion Month to Kylie's new hair line, what really upset people was who Kendall and Kylie was listed ahead of, Malala Yousafzai, the 17-year-old student who stood up to the Taliban and just won the Nobel Peace Prize (the youngest-ever recipient).
One Twitter user commented:
Other notable names to top the list included #1 Mo'ne Davis, 13 who made quite a splash after pitching a shutout game in the Little League World Series, #2 Sasha and Malia Obama, and #3 Mad Men star Kiernan Shipka, 14.
TIME reportedly analyzed social-media followings, cultural accolades, business acumen, and more to determine this year's list. With millions following them on Instagram, it's possible they made the list for this reason alone! Check out a few of their best Instagram snaps above.
