I started Dallas Wardrobe in the spring of 2011. You may not know this but Dallas Wardrobe started solely as a wardrobe consulting company. Honestly, the blog was an afterthought, but as time has gone by, the blog has grown into something greater than I could have imagined and allowed me to reach and help others that are not in the Dallas area.
"My personal style is classic & feminine. I love anything with a bow or ruffle but still love to get out of my fashion comfort zone and try new things. Being a Dallas girl means you are also a Neiman Marcus girl (NM began in Dallas). I also love to shop at Zara and anywhere online! I gain the majority of my inspiration from my closet. Although fashion changes, if you have the right staples in your closet by adding a few 'fill in's and mixing up your clothing, you can always find something to wear."
I am a true Dallas girl (born & raised!). My husband and I live here full time and I could not think of a better city. The best part about Dallas is the stylish women and the fact that anything goes. Bigger is always better in Texas!
Although blogging does take up a lot of my time and energy (it's ok, I love it) I am also a style consultant. I style real women and men around Dallas. I organize their closets, clean them out, take them shopping and dress them for events. It has been such a journey creating a brand but I am happy how everything has evolved and cannot wait to see where my brand, Dallas Wardrobe, goes in the future!
Amy Wells Havins is the blogger and style consultant behind the Texas-based Dallas Wardrobe.
Amy, who kind of reminds us of a Southern Kate Middleton, dishes out style advice both on her blog and to her private clients, who she styles both for events and their everyday.
Her blog, also named Dallas Wardrobe, epitomizes Amy's classic taste and sophisticated style. We sat down to chat with her about running her own fashion business, her personal style, and living in Dallas, a fashion capital in its own right.
