Louise Roe's Style Icons

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford at the 2011 Oscars. I was hosting ABC’s red carpet show and got to interview Gwyneth first. Not only was she my best dressed that night – but she was so much fun to chat to as well.

Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta at the Golden Globes 2013. One of my style icons, she can do no wrong on the carpet! This melon-meets-sherbet color just popped like no other. And the feather Roger Vivier clutch? A chic modern edge.

Lauren Hutton sitting on a bench in a white fur coat. This is an iconic black and white snap, and one that is stuck into my scrapbook (yes, I totally keep a scrapbook…). She is the epitome of grace and elegance.

Miranda Kerr in a blue Peter Pilotto printed dress from his Spring 2012 collection. I adore the way Miranda dresses. She’s daring with color and pattern, and this racer-front, peplum hem dress is to die for, especially on her curves.

Mia Farrow in a lace scalloped Peter Pan collar top, with her elfin crop hair. I am so inspired by Mia and how unique her style was back then. She pushed fashion and beauty boundaries and created a look that was somehow simultaneously boyish and cute.

Bianca Jagger in the white suit she married Mick Jagger in. Just iconic. So many looks and shoots have been inspired by this one picture.

SJP in the famous scene from SATC in Paris, when she sits on the bed surrounded by her fairytale Dior skirt. I still watch about 4 re-runs of this show per week and the fashion doesn’t date, it’s just awe-inspiring. I stayed at the same hotel recently and all I could think about was Carrie Bradshaw stayed here!

Talitha Getty on the balcony in Morocco, kneeling down in a beautiful printed maxi dress. Again, an image in my scrapbook and very inspiring when I designed my last collection of shoes and bags.

Diane Kruger in a mustard one shoulder gown Jason Wu. This photos was taken a few years ago, apparently Diane helped design the dress with Jason, as they are good friends. Diane doesn’t work with a stylist and often does her own makeup on the carpet, which is very rare for an A-list actress. She is so savvy to silhouette, trends and brand new designers, I love to check out what she’s wearing.

I absolutely loved putting this slideshow together. Working in the fashion industry, I'm constantly looking to women for inspiration - past and present - who have a flare for style, and push the envelope when it comes to dressing up or down. These are the incredible, chic, and beautiful chicks who fill up my style scrapbook. And that's not a metaphor! Yup, I actually still keep a scrapbook, just like an eight year old...
