Duchess Kate has a new stylist, helping choose bold new looks
The Duchess wore her black pumps and carried a sparkly black clutch to complete her look.
The dress is a bit edgier than she typically chooses, but we loved it.
Just the tiniest hint of a bump! Kate is now 14 weeks pregnant.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, stepped out three times last week following her bout with acute morning sickness, and she looked a little bit more glamorous than usual. We've always loved Kate's style, but between the stunning powder blue Jenny Packham gown and the edgier sheer Temperley London dress the following day, the Duchess is definitely stepping up her game -- and now we know why.

Remember when the Queen reportedly wanted to make-over Kate's style in a more, well... matronly way (she apparently had an issue with the length of Kate's skirts)? Well thankfully, it seems we're reversing that now. Because we have to say, while we were generally dazzled by Kate's wardrobe choices while she was on tour in Australia and New Zealand -- this one was perfection -- there were a few we weren't that crazy about (the green Erdem and Catherine Walker coats... even William had his qualms with the greens!). Were they a result of the Queen's so-called makeover? We're not sure, but everything expectant mom Kate has worn recently has been completely on-point.

According to royal insiders, a new 27-year-old personal assistant of Kate's, Natasha Archer, has been helping the Duchess shop and experiment with wardrobe choices. Palace sources say that she's the one who steered Kate towards the stunning looks of last week, and that she's become an integral part of "Team Kate."

While Kate has reportedly been reluctant to become a fashion icon (hence her conscious choice to recycle some of her favorite looks rather than buy new things) she does want to be seen as fashion-forward. Of Natasha, sources revealed to Vanity Fair that "she has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes." While Ms. Archer is lending a hand to Prince George's mom in the wardrobe department, the final choice, sources say, is always Kate's.

We love the idea of Duchess Kate pushing the sartorial envelope, and can't wait to see what she chooses for her next engagement. Click through the gallery above to see her maternity style so far!
