The wind may not be her friend, but Kate Middleton still looked flawless this morning
The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Place2Be Forum this morning.
She wore a navy blue ensemble: a pleated skirt by Orla Kiely, jacket by Max Mara and her blue court shoes.
A young girl curtsied and presented Kate with flowers.
Kate kindly spoke with the girl for several minutes.
Kate smiled, even though the windy wharf almost gave her what many are calling a "Marilyn moment."
But like the Duchess she is, she remained composed and put her skirt right back in place!
Kate's curls were pulled back in a half-up hairstyle, and looked flawless, obvi.
Said the adorable young girl, Tierney, of meeting Kate that "she was nice and she was pretty."
Kate was greeted by a chorus of "Hello!" when she first walked in and met this group of children.
Kate stayed an extra hour at the event, clearly very passionate about the work being done.
The tailored jacket is a classic Kate piece.
She seems delighted to have been there -- and we're sure the people of Place2Be felt exactly the same.

We've seen it happen before: windy weather is no friend to a flowy skirt, and even Royalty must face this unfortunate truth every once in a while! The Duchess of Cambridge narrowly missed a wardrobe malfunction this morning as she attended an event in support of a charity of which she is a Patron.

Kate visited the Place2Be Forum event this morning, looking polished in navy blue: a short pleated skirt by Orla Kiely and a structured Max Mara jacket. Wearing her blue court shoes and navy stockings, she pinned her curls back in a half-up half-down 'do.

When Kate arrived on the windy wharf, she was greeted by a young girl who presented her with flowers before leading her inside. Despite the high winds, Kate remained to talk with the girl for several minutes, expertly keeping her flowy skirt in place.

Kate became Patron of Place2Be in April 2013, and attended an event for the charity while pregnant with Prince George. Place2Be provides mental health and emotional support to over 75000 children, in an effort to combat bullying. While attending the forum speeches, Kate decided to stay for an extra hour to hear two more sessions. We hope Wills wasn't watching the clock with baby George!
