Kate Middleton makes a surprise visit to the scouts - wearing a hoodie!
The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed down this evening as she made a surprise visit to a group of children who thought they were just having their weekly Scouts meeting. A program similar to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Duchess Kate has been a supporter of the Scouts in the UK for a few years.
Continuing her recent tradition of wearing all black (that NYC visit must have really rubbed off on her...) Kate wore a black Scouts hoodie, black jeans and boots. The Duchess surprised the young "Beavers" as they're called, with her visit to the newly established group. The children were working towards their Disability Awareness Badge, so Kate was able to help them complete tasks -- which included picking up sweets wearing a boxing mitt, learning sign language, and more -- and then presented them with their badges at the end of the day.
Clarence House posted a clip of Kate helping a young boy decorate his cupcake while blindfolded. Watch below, it's too cute!
The Duchess of Cambridge helps Fynley Gooch aged six a member of the 23rd Poplar Beaver Scouts Colony in London to ice a cake wearing a blindfold tonearm his disability awareness badge. The vist is in support of The Scout Association #Betterprepared campaign to extend the reach of Scouting and recruit more adult volunteers
We can just imagine little Prince George wearing his Scouts tie and learning all about the great outdoors in a couple years. Without a doubt, William and Kate will encourage George to be an outdoorsy child!
