BACK TO SLIDE
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, attended her first public engagement since returning from vacation with her family today, showing off a bigger baby bump and tanned skin! Britain's Princess Kate looked positively lovely in a fit and flare cream MaxMara coat, pairing the look with a sweet Somerset by Alice Temperley shift dress and her chunky-heeled Jimmy Choo Georgia pumps.
Today's visit was to the construction site of the soon-to-be new headquarters of Ben Ainslie Racing, all as part of her work with the 1851 Trust. Kate became patron of the Trust just a few weeks ago, after being involved with the group for some time, and today visited the new center in Portsmouth.
After greeting well-wishers, Kate got to learn about the new site and take part in a mural being painted on the wall. Showing off her artistic talents, Kate painted part of a sailboat and told those around her about George's love to paint as well. Miraculously, she kept all signs of color off her perfectly cream coat -- a task that's probably not as easy when painting with a 1 year-old!
According to the Daily Mail, "Once inside [Portsmouth's 170m Spinnaker Tower], Kate was shown some of the technology being used to create specialist docking rib boats for Ainslie's America's Cup bid and was also introduced to community leaders and teachers and students from City College in nearby Southampton."
When Kate removed her coat inside, she was wearing an adorably patterned navy frock from the Somerset by Alice Temperley line, perfectly nautical with small sail boats all over it! As you might expect, the £99.00 dress sold out almost immediately after the world caught wind of it.
