The "Kate Middleton Effect" is the real deal -- anything she wears (or swaddles her newborn son in) sells out almost immediately after she wears it. And yes, that means the dresses that cost $1000+ or more.

Luckily for those of us who love her style and also love a good deal, one of the Duchess's favorite brands Issa London is pairing up with Banana Republic for a limited-edition capsule collection available in August. So that iconic sapphire blue wrap dress that she wore when she and Prince William announced their engagement in 2010 (which runs up a tab of $793) is going to be accessible for the everyday woman in a slightly modified form for just $130.

The collection will also include 40+ other pieces, ranging from classic wrap dresses to kimono dresses and coming in neutral and jewel tones as well as animal prints. We know Kate is far from averse to animal prints, so it isn't hard to feel that the entire collection would fit quite well into her wardrobe.

Interestingly enough, when Kate first donned the dress from Issa London for her engagement announcement, she almost bankrupt the company. Yes, sometimes huge publicity is more of a hindrance than help. The company, which was very small in nature, didn't have the structure to handle the demand that came for that exact dress, and thus they were at risk for a little while, but have clearly gotten back on their feet. Thanks to Kate continuing to support the brand, and exciting developments like this collaboration, they are clearly doing just fine today.

Click through the gallery to see a sneak peek of the capsule collection. It debuts in your local Banana Republic stores and online on August 8th. Lunch-time field trip, anyone?
